Cork & Barrel is pleased to feature regional chefs partnering with select wineries from Sonoma County for a series of exclusive Winemaker Dinners around the Bend area on Thursday, July 19th.
This is an intimate event and seating is limited to 40 guests per dinner.

Chefs are working hard to craft menus and we’ll post the menus as we receive them. But don’t wait! Seats are going fast!

The Brickhouse Restaurant with Rodney Strong Vineyards

Jeff Porad, the owner of the Brickhouse, is ecstatic to work with Rodney Strong Vineyards, as he has featured these wines on his list for a number of years. The Brickhouse is a beautiful restaurant in the heart of downtown Bend, known for their quality steaks and inviting atmosphere. Winemaker Greg Morthole will be on hand for this very special evening highlighting the Rodney Strong commitment to craftsmanship and their wine’s sense of place. Rodney Strong Vineyards received the “American Winery of the Year” award by Wine Enthusiast magazine in 2013.

Currents at the Riverhouse with Laurel Glen Vineyard

CURRENTS at the Riverhouse features a totally re-imagined restaurant, patio and lounge. Chef Michael Stanton delivers light, bold and clean flavors in contemporary interpretations of classic French cuisine. Suttle Lodge & Boathouse Restaurant with Donelan Family Wines

We have paired the culture of Suttle Lodge & Boathouse with the modern and hip flair of Donelan Family Wines out of Santa Rosa for this evening of wine, food, and FUN! KIDS Center has partnered with Bend Party Bus to provide transportation to and from this dinner locale for 20 people. Get to know winery owner, Cushing Donelan, on the ride out to Suttle Lodge & Boathouse.

CHOW Restaurant with Quivira Vineyards

CHOW restaurant was opened in 2007 as one of the first “farm to fork” restaurants in Bend and has grown to be a beloved hot spot of culinary delights. CHOW Owner/Chef, David Touvell, studied at Le Cordon Bleu in Portland and favors good vibes over pretention and keeps dishes simple, so the flavors stay front and center. The CHOW attitude partners perfectly with Quivira Vineyards, a premium producer of Zinfandel, Sauvignon Blanc, and Rhone varietals built upon intentional wine growing and a thoughtful commitment to sustainable and organic farming. This Healdsburg, CA based winery utilizes low-input winemaking techniques and winemaker, Hugh Chappelle, likes to develop complexity by judiciously using a few techniques: blending, co-fermentation, phased harvesting and barrel aging – both oak and acacia wood. Chappelle’s experience in the winemaking world is lengthy, and we very much look forward to this dynamite, and complementary, winemaker dinner combination!

The Victorian Café featuring Chef OJ Robinson with Limerick Lane & Mauritson Family Wines

The Victorian Café has generously opened up their beautiful dining space for this Winemaker Dinner featuring Chef OJ Robinson, the culinary director at the Benson in Portland. Owner/winemaker, Jake Bilbro of Limerick Lane, and owner/winemaker, Clay Mauritson of Mauritson wines, are childhood friends who have each developed their own, individual winemaking styles.
