    Gary grew up on an 80-acre cattle ranch in Northern California. At the age 18, he was lucky enough to get offered an apprenticeship under Mark Sullivan at The Village Pub in Woodside, CA (link attached) where he worked for trade until he sharpened his skills to be hired on the line. He then spent the next decade cooking for some of the most prestigious restaurants in the SF Bay Area until he eventually became executive chef. While vacationing in Bend, the town with 1000 trails and great beer, he fell instantly in love and decided to make the move to Bend.
